The Teamcenter Administrator/Support person manages all the components\modules and its integrations available in Teamcenter PLM environment, provides daily support to the user base and assists in various Teamcenter implementation and improvement projects. The administrator is expected to collaborate with Teamcenter Developers, PLM analysts, AWS and IT personnel. The administrator will respond to shifting priorities in a fast-changing environment. The administrator should be self-directed to drive day-to-day operations, recommend and manage improvement initiatives in the PLM environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installation, configuration and upgrade (patching) of Teamcenter server and client components. Also responsible for Data Model (BMIDE) updates and CAD Integrations.
  • Responsible for specification, configuration, installation, maintenance and support of manufacturing components and its integrations available in Teamcenter Unified Architecture at server and client level, including production, quality assurance (QA), development environments and client systems
  • Coordinate with Overall Site Administrator and implement new Software releases.
  • Analyzes and maintains PLM system performance.
  • Assists in training and support of users of PLM system.
  • Manage and Resolve any day to day issues with Teamcenter environment.
  • Integrates CAD, non-CAD, and PLM data, validating and verifying data integrity.
  • Audits files and metadata to ensure data integrity.
  • Performs database troubleshooting. Works with IT department and vendor support to resolve technical issues with software.
  • Advises on software tools to improve productivity or fill gaps within role as PLM Administrator.
  • Participates with the development and maintenance of operating procedures and best practices. Authors company standards, procedures, best-practices guides, and reference manuals.
  • Imports and exports data from system to support 3rd party data exchange in compliance with all regulations and procedures.
  • Drive efficiency initiatives including knowledge management, system administration automation and effective documentation
Qualifications
  • Requires minimum of 5 years’ experience managing and administering Siemens PLM environments at a production site level
  • Proficiency with BMIDE, TEM, Deployment Center, Active Workspace, Web Servers
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires experience effectively responding to shifting priorities in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Prefer experience with project methodologies of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Waterfall and Agile
Preferred Skills
  • Automotive OEM experience preferred.
  • High proficiency with Siemens Teamcenter
